Centered on the theme of “Digital-Driven High-Quality Development of Barter Trade,” the forum highlighted the launch of the “Silk Road AI Easy Station” system, driven by GEDIS (Global Electronic Data Interchange System) technology. This launch marks the official entry of Silk Road digital barter trade into a new stage of digitalization and intelligence.

During the forum, Li Dong, Director of the Yan’an Digital Trade Cross-Border Service Center, elaborated on the core logic of the GEDIS system. He noted that after eight years of exploration and practice, the GEDIS system—through DID (Decentralized Identifier) and CID (Content Identifier) technologies—systematically addresses three long-standing pain points in cross-border trade: trust difficulties, settlement difficulties, and circulation difficulties. Leveraging blockchain-based smart contracts, the system achieves “transaction equals rights confirmation, delivery equals settlement,” establishing a trusted technology foundation for cross-border digital trade.

Yuan Jiacheng, Vice Chairman of the Silk Road E-Commerce International Trade Organizing Committee, gave high recognition to the GEDIS rules while introducing the “Silk Road AI Easy Station” system. He stated that the GEDIS rules effectively solve the deep integration challenges in digital barter trade. Yuan explicitly proposed that the “Silk Road AI Easy Station” platform would fully implement GEDIS standards, using its rule engine to help enterprises revitalize inventory, reduce costs, and improve efficiency internally, while connecting with global resources externally to promote high-quality Chinese products to the world.

In the final session of the forum, attending leaders and guests jointly launched the “Silk Road AI Easy Station” system. This launch represents not only a technological breakthrough but also provides a replicable “Yan’an Model” for digital barter trade among countries along the Belt and Road. Going forward, with the deeper application of GEDIS standards, digital barter trade is expected to become a new link connecting China with the global economy.
